Efrem Vega, in Michael's Red reality, is a rookie detective and Partner to Michael Britten. Coping with an adversarial relationship to Michael (who claims Vega was only promoted for his willingness to spy), Vega cites his decade of experience as a uniformed officer and his tendency to get overlooked for promotions. Green Reality counterpart In the Green Reality, Vega was never promoted and remains a uniformed cop.
